Alcohol
Alcohol is a hit with many teens because when they drink it they are usually at parties having fun not thinking about how it can effect themselves. Teens also think its the cool thing to do. Alcohol effects the brain causing difficulty walking, blurred vision, slowed reaction times, slurred speech, and impaired memory. It also effects organs especially the liver which can cause liver disease. Some long term problems that alcohol can cause is that it leads to addiction. It can also cause permanent damage to the brain and liver. People are driven to use drugs and alcohol because they see other people doing it and they want to try it themselves. After trying it they may eventualy get addicted to it. I do not think that alcohol should be banned because if you are a smart drinker and drink responsiblely you won't have any problems with alcohol. The people that do have alcohol problems are the ones that should get help. Thats why I think alcohol should not be banned.

Soy Products
I believe soy products are have their ups a downs. Soybeans contain important nutrients like protein, fiber, and fat(unsaturated). Some benefits about soybeans are that if you are a vegan, vegetarian or lactose intolerant, soy products are a good thing to eat. Some negatives about soy products is that it can increase the chance of breast cancer in women. It is called phytochemicals called isoflavones which are found in soybeans that work like estrogen. That is what increases the chances of breast cancer. I belief that soy is negative in ways that we use the products.
Remembering Me
What is most important to me is my family. I am really close with my family. I want to be remembered as a fun, caring, and loving individual. I want my family members to know that I care about them so much. When my whole family gets together I always have fun especially when its during a holiday. My legacy is to be remembered by people in a positive way and I also hope I have a positive effect on people.

I like this decision making model because it shows the short term and long term effects. My hypothetical problem is that I am deer huntin for deer and a nice gobbler steps out. It is not turkey season but this gobbler is NICE! I have not seen any deer all day and I am already thinking about cutting in to that turkey on Thanksgiving. Im just about to pull the trigger but I finally thought about the decision making model that I found on google back in Mr. Corbin's class. I remember the short term and long term effects that can happen. If I shoot the gobbler I could get caught by the PA Game Commission and get my license suspended. That would be the short term effect in this problem. The long term effect is that I would have to live with the fact that I shot a turkey during deer season. Oh well they wont catch me BANG! This gobblers even bigger up close and its going to taste great on Thanksgiving.

My Hopes and Dreams
I have many hopes and dreams that I wish I could be able to do and maybe someday get the chance to do. My main dreams are graduate high school, become a state champion in cross country or track, get a good job that I will enjoy everyday, and live a successful life. In one year I see myself as a junior at Fairview High School. In five years I see myself graduating college becoming whatever I decide to be in the future. In ten years I see myself with a wife and anywhere between 1 and 2 kids hopefully a boy and a girl. Hopefully I will have a nice log house out in the country somewhere with a lot of land. In fifty years I see myself hopefully being retired spending most of my days hunting and fishing with my other retired buddies and my family. I would have a trophy room for all my trophy bucks and my big trophy trout and steelhead. I would like to have a couple of grandchildren. To try to reach these goals I will do my best in everything I do. God please help me in my goal to live a successful live.

My name is Connor Gregory and I am a student at Fairview High School. I am fifteen years old and this year I am a sophomore. My birthday is on September 16th so I am ecxited that I am going to be sixteen. Both of my parents went to Fariview and I have an older brother that is attending Clarion University. My brother graduated from Fairview in 2009. I run cross country right now for Fairview. I also play basketball and run track. I have many interests but my favorite interest is in sports. Right now I am not sure where I want to go to college but I do like the University of Kentucky and Penn State University. I will go anywhere that takes me. I am not sure what I want to be yet but I am thinking of being and accountant.
